AcuView is the first graphics package to be integrated with COBOL.AcuView allows users of ACUCOBOL-85-based programs to create, display,and print professional quality business graphs from within their COBOLprograms. AcuView provides direct access to internal application data,and provides immediate graphics on request, as well as extensivecustomization options. AcuView can draw five types of charts: barcharts, line charts, pie charts, table of data and word charts. AcuViewsoftware has virtually no impact on the memory requirements of theapplication program, allowing the graphics full use of the machine andcreation of the highest-quality graphics. Graphs may be displayed at aterminal , or at any of the following hardcopy devices. Any PostScript-compatible printer, Hewlett-Packard laserjet printers; Hewlett-Packardpaintjet printers; and Epson-compatible printers. AcuView can alsocreate standard Computer Graphics Metafiles (CGM). These intermediatefiles can be used as input to slide-makers and other sophisticatedgraphing devices.
